Private Services

Private Work Fees

Some services provided by the practice are not covered under our NHS contract and therefore incur a private fee.

Although some requests may appear straightforward, GPs have a legal and professional responsibility to ensure that any information they provide is accurate and appropriate. Preparing reports, completing forms and undertaking other non-NHS work takes time away from direct patient care and, in most cases, is completed outside of NHS-contracted hours.

GPs are not obliged to undertake private work, and all requests are accepted at the discretion of the individual GP.

For certain requests, such as medical examinations for driving licences, taxi licences, adoption or fostering assessments, you may be required to attend an appointment at the surgery. If this is necessary, an appointment will be arranged once payment has been received and GP availability has been confirmed.

The list of services and fees below is not exhaustive. If the service you require is not listed, we will confirm the applicable fee before the work is allocated to a GP.

All private service fees must be paid in full before any work is undertaken. Please allow 15 working days following payment.
