Practice Team
The practice is a Partnership (non-limited) of four GP Principal Partners based at our purpose built medical centre on Dartington Drive CF23 8SQ. Our practice boundary is shown below.

A G.P. Registrar is also attached to the surgery, this is a Doctor in training for General Practice who is already qualified and has worked as a Hospital Doctor.

Simon Wilkins BSc (Hons) MRPharmS. Simon is an Independent Prescriber who manages medication reviews, Heart & Hypertension chronic disease reviews and other queries e.g. pain medication, pain management, medication synchronisation and reconciliation plus routine medication reviews.

The nursing team consists of:
Sister Lauren Mayrick RGN - Trainee General Practice Nurse
Sister Cathy Bird RGN, Independent Prescriber - is available by appointment. Cathy manages minor illness clinics, Annual Diabetic clinics & many other nursing duties.
Sister Heather Chappell RGN, BSc, Independent Prescriber - is available by appointment. Heather manages minor illness clinics, annual respiratory clinics & many other nursing duties.
Sister Maggie Bowden RGN, Supplementary Prescriber - is available by appointment. Maggie manages minor illness clinics, annual respiratory clinics, complex wound care, & many other nursing duties
Karen Male NVQ L3 - Health Care Assistant: - is available Monday & Thursday mornings to record blood pressures, redress wounds, complete new patient registration checks, weight monitoring, ECG's, take blood samples (INR's via finger-prick & venous samples).

Mr David Shand is our Practice Manager and is responsible for the overall running of the Practice.
Mrs Lynne Burgess is our Deputy Practice Manager & Mrs Sarah Thomas is our Administration Manager
Reception/Administration
We have a team of 14 receptionists/administrators who are managed by Lynne our Deputy Practice Manager:
Deborah, Bernadette, Caroline, Clare, Lisa, Julie, Leane, Louise, Karen, Lauren, Shabana, Natalie, Rebecca, & Jannine.
They are all fully trained and experienced to deal with patients' requests and enquiries in a sensitive and sympathetic manner. They make appointments, take messages, including requests for home visits, and deal with repeat prescriptions. Please remember, if you are asked what seems to be an irritating question, the receptionist is trying to assist both you and the Doctor, and at times this can be difficult. Please ask to speak to a receptionist in private if necessary.
