Please note that our front desk is not staffed by a receptionist until 8:30am. From 8:00am to 8:30am, our reception team prioritises answering telephone calls, and the surgery doors remain closed during this time.
After the morning surgery concludes at 12:30pm, the surgery phone lines will be CLOSED for routine enquiries until 2:00pm. However, we continue to take calls for emergencies during this time. This period is designated for administrative tasks, such as processing prescriptions and arranging GP home visits. Our reception team remains available at the front desk, and the surgery doors will remain open.
Once practice administration duties are complete, the surgery phones will reopen at 2:00pm, as general afternoon appointments with our clinicians become available. Patients are advised to collect prescriptions after 3:00pm and direct general queries to the front desk during this time. After the afternoon surgery concludes and all appointments have been attended to, the surgery doors will close at 6:00pm. Our staff will remain available by telephone for an additional half hour until 6:30pm, at which point the Out of Hours service will begin and the practice premises will close.
This surgery does not open on weekends. Emergency care can be accessed via the Out Of Hours GP service on 111, or by calling CAV 24/7 on 0300 10 20 247. Please only attend A&E due to serious illness or life threatening emergency.
Please inform reception if you would rather collect your medication direct from a pharmacy. A consent form is available at our reception desk to complete in order to nominate a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent directly to a pharmacy of your choice.
Alternatively, you may wish to speak with your preferred pharmacy to sign up for their prescription collection, whereby your pharmacy will order, collect and deliver your prescription to you where suitable.
