We have surgeries & clinics available every weekday, which are run from 8.30am - 5.30pm.
For on the day appointments, patients must ring the surgery between 8.00am and 10.30 am to book an appointment for that day.
Patients now have access to the new NHS Wales App, where they can order repeat prescriptions, book new appointments, or cancel existing appointment. You will be required to register for access to service.
A number of our appointments are available to pre-book by either calling one of our reception team after 11am, or booking directly via the NHS Wales App
The pre book-able appointments are available to book up to 8 weeks in advance.
Both face-2-face and phone appointments with a GP or Pharmacist can now be made for the following:
All clinics and nurse appointments are available to book up to 8 weeks in advance, subject to availability. A number of appointments are also made available to book on the day, however it is recommended that these appointments be booked in advance.
Pre-bookable appointments with our nursing team can now be made for the following:
Many consultations not require a face to face discussion & can be undertaken via the telephone, in the first instance, most GP consultation requests are booked as a telephone consultation & the GP will determine from the phone discussion if you need to come in for a face-2-face review.
It is expected that you, the patient, will be available to talk when the clinician calls. If the call is not answered, this will be classed as a missed appointment and another appointment will be necessary. Please be aware we are unable to give you a set time for telephone consultations.
Please bear in mind that patient confidentiality still applies for telephone consultations. The telephone consultation would be for the patient or their legal guardian only. The clinician cannot legally talk to a patient’s relatives about their health without written consent of the patient.
The practice now offers consultations for skin complaints or ailments, including skin lesions and rashes. If you request a consultation for any such condition, our receptionists will ask you to email non-intimate photographs, prior to phone consultation. This is to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of any skin conditions, and may be attached to dermatology referrals, if the doctor feels a specialist opinion is needed, any such referrals are sent via a secure NHS link.
Photographs showing intimate areas should not be emailed.
Home visits are made only to those who are unable to come to surgery because of infirmity (bed bound or housebound, significant frailty) or whose medical condition is extremely serious. All requests for visits should be made before 10.30am.
Lack of transport or of childcare facilities are not seen as reasons not to attend surgery.
